Stories from Kenya through Music – Dignity, Survival and Resistance

Speaker: Nancy Day

Nancy is a Kenyan born and bred music educator who is currently tutoring at the University of Exeter’s Masters programme on Creativity in Education. She has been interested in African ways of being, whether in their music and how this has an impact on how they are in the world. Her talk will provide some stories from Kenya through music (old and new) as a way of getting to know about the country and the people.

This is a sociable, fundraising evening for DDE’s Food for Thought School Linking Programme working with primary schools in Uganda & UK. Suggested donation £12 payable at the event.
