Reviews of local Fairtrade Devon events and activities from recent years. 

For Fairtrade Fortnight 2020, Fairtrade Devon were pleased to welcome Sarah Ahemah and Ernest Boateng from Kuapa Kokoo Cooperative in Ghana.

Sarah and Ernest  took part in several Schools Conferences and community events throughout devon during their stay.

Read more ...For Fairtrade Fortnight 2019 we invited Veronica Browne and Simeon Greene, Fairtrade banana farmers from St Vincent in The Caribbean.

"It was really interesting listening to the experiences of people who farm in other parts of the world"

We held six Primary School Conferences across the county. Here are some photographs of the events at which they spoke about their lives and work and some comments from the pupils and teachers they met.

Read more ...Fairtrade Fortnight kicked off last week with a variety of exciting events being held across Devon. We are very pleased to be joined by Paul Tiony, a Fairtrade tea producer from Kenya, who has been travelling to towns all around the county and sharing his insights and experiences of heading the Sireet Outgrowers Empowerment & Producers Company (OEP).

Read more ...Oscar Ponce, chair of Co-operativa Agraria Cafetalera Pangoa Ltd in Pangoa Town, Peru which grows coffee for Cafédirect and is Devon's guest for Fairtrade Fortnight 2013. This visit is sponsored by The Co-operative.

Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Pangoa (Pangoa) is a Fair Trade and organic-certified coffee cooperative located in San Martín de Pangoa, Peru. Pangoa's 207 active members are smallholder farmers who cultivate shade-grown coffee on the slopes rising from the lowland jungle to the highlands in the region of Junín.

Fairtrade Fortnight events run from Monday 25th February 2013 to Tuesday 12 March 2013. The list below will be updated as details are confirmed. There may be more events happening in your town.

It was the largest event yet hosted by Exeter Community Centre and the Global Centre. Over 60 people attended the South West Fairtrade Day in September. The Day was an opportunity to share the successes of Fairtrade across the South West, share good practice, explore some of the challenges and look ahead with renewed enthusiasm and passion to further promoting Fairtrade across the region.
