World at Six - Thursday 17th June 6pm to 7:15pm

Mark Smith will give brief overview of the current political crisis in Ethiopia and the Covid-19 lockdown. He will outline how this has impacted the everyday lives of people in rural Western Ethiopia with whom the small Devon based charity Exeter Ethiopia Link works. Finally, he will detail how a small charity both can and has responded with a particular focus on supporting those most marginalised.

Mark is the volunteer project manager of Exeter Ethiopia Link (EEL). He has worked with EEL for the past 13 years since being out in Ethiopia as part of VSO. He is also an educational consultant working both with schools in the UK and educational projects overseas
