What has Food for Thought been doing, during, and following, the Covid 19 pandemic?

For 83 weeks, all schools were closed in Uganda – the longest of any country in the world. When they reopened in mid January 2022, teachers and pupils were eager to get busy with teaching and learning again!

But in Uganda and UK, we were not idle during the lockdowns, for example head teachers in Tororo continued their termly meetings, and we worked with Keyham Barton Primary School in Plymouth, linked with Kikandwa, in Mubende, to create a video for the G7 meeting in Cornwall (June 2021), raising concerns about girls’ education.
