Jedidah Chick

I am a Zimbabwean-born artist living in Exeter, where I’ve spent most of my adult life. My work is inspired by both my African heritage and the natural beauty and calm of Devon. I create art that explores identity, history, and empowerment—celebrating African Queens, afro hair, and the strength found in diverse stories. I also run creative workshops and community events, using art as a tool to spark conversations around resilience, belonging, and inclusion. Through painting, teaching, and storytelling, I aim to help both children and adults feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are.
